First things first, The Wildbird Shack SPEAKEASY is NOT an underground bar selling illicit cocktails! SPEAKEASY is our cute twist on the traditional SPEAKERS BUREAU; a space where ideas, inspiration and nature come to life through engaging talks and workshops.
The SPEAKEASY began in 2018 when the Wildbird Shack began offering bird and nature talks in our Mount Prospect brick and mortar store. The response was overwhelmingly positive and eventually these programs hit the road visiting garden clubs, nature groups, libraries, senior living communities and senior centers and schools. During the pandemic interest deepened as more people sought out the therapeutic value of birds and nature.
By 2023, after listening to feedback from the community, Alyse expanded the program offerings to include an even wider range of topics. Today, the Wildbird Shack SPEAKEASY features over 75 unique programs from birds and nature to travel and trekking, social media, mindfulness, floral design, networking, writing a business plan, acting and writing your own memories; an imaginative, diverse, and engaging program selection.
And we are not stopping here, as interest continues to grow, so will our list of programs, ensuring there is always something new and meaningful to discover.
